My love for sewing began at a young age as I sat and watched my grandmother sew. She was a very accomplished seamstress, and she spent many hours at a machine sewing beautiful quilts and handmade garments for us, and for others. My love for beautiful quilts began with my admiration for my grandmother's work. Her choices for fabrics were limited to old clothes that she turned into incredible works of art. I can still remember the large wooden quilting frame hanging in the front room of her house, over the bed that I slept in. I was fortunate to inherit her love for sewing and an eye for beautiful quilts. Finding the correct fabrics for the quilts I make is one of the hardest choices in my quilt process. , My daughter, my husband and myself have visited many quilt and fabric shops, in search of the best option for fabrics, for one of my many ideal quilts. Though my love for quality material has grown, my ability to choose just one still lacks. I have wanted to open my own shop for several years but was hesitant because of timing in my everyday life. With encouragement from my friends and family, I began to really pursue the idea earlier this year (2023). So, when my daughter and nieces said, "Open it, I will help!", I was all in! I was finally ready to open my own shop gradually online. I wanted a local store that local quilters and sewers could come for quality materials, good conversation, and friendly greetings. I also desired a way to connect to customers who are not able to travel to my store - thus the webpage. I want us to be as available to our online customers as we are to our brick-and-mortar customers. Our goal is to provide items needed for quilting and sewing, as well as to instill the art of fabric creation into the next generation. This is the place where the love of sewing will begin. Come in, visit my store and find the items you need. Please feel free to contact us any time you have questions! We are here to serve you.
